City of Austin Open Data Portal
Open data is coming to Austin City government, and the City is seeking input from the community to identify datasets of interest and to help prioritize them for release in December. The City is eager to join cities like Philadelphia, the District of Columbia and Boston, to provide data that increases transparency, promotes operational efficiency and encourages public participation. Whether you are a resident, a researcher or software application developer, it is important that the City knows what data you need to stay informed and involved in your City government.
Review suggested City datasets below, vote on those you would like to prioritize and even add your own suggestion if the data you want is not on the list. With your participation, the Austin community will have unprecedented access to City data and join the policy process in ways they never could before.
Each user will have 25 votes to apply to data set items that are of the highest priority.
